It seems like the Italian fashion house is continuing with changes. If last November surprised us with Alessandro Michele's farewell, this time it's Marco Bizzarri, the CEO of Gucci, bidding goodbye.

On July 19th, the news broke that Bizzarri, the president and CEO of the brand, will step down from his position in September this year. The departure of Marco was communicated through a press release, stating that this decision is part of a series of adjustments being made by the Kering Group.

What will happen to Gucci?

We now have a name, and that's Jean-François Palus, the current Chief Executive Officer of the Kering Group, who will leave his position on the Board of Directors and move from Paris to Milan to serve as interim President and CEO of Gucci for an unspecified "transition period." Ultimately, this period will culminate in the appointment of a new CEO to lead the iconic Italian brand.

On the other hand, the Italian house has taken the opportunity to announce that Francesca Bellettini, President and CEO of Yves Saint Laurent since 2013, will now assume the role of Deputy CEO of Kering, responsible for Brand Development.

Regarding the changes announced for Gucci, Pinault remarks, "Jean-François has been my right-hand man and daily discussion partner for several decades, and now he will focus all his energy on keeping our greatest asset in top shape. I couldn't be more grateful to him." He also didn't forget to thank Marco for his spectacular contribution to the success of Gucci and Kering, wishing him the best in his future endeavors. In conclusion, "I have confidence that the changes we announce today will set Kering on the path to long-term success and profitable growth," Pinault added.
