Ever since the news broke about Barbie's upcoming movie, we knew it would be THE phenomenon of the year. Barbie has become an obsession for everyone, including brands, and they have played their cards brilliantly with the marketing campaigns they've launched.

The Movie: Full of Stars

Margot Robbie has been chosen to embody the iconic doll that surely all of us had in our childhood, and with Ryan Gosling portraying Ken, what a duo! But that's not all; the casting team has assembled an impressive lineup of artists, including Will Ferrell, Dua Lipa, Helen Mirren, and Emma Mackey.

Marketing: Offline and Online

One of the most remarkable aspects of this movie's release is the masterful marketing campaign designed to immerse users in the world of Barbie. It's not just about promoting the movie; they want us all to be part of that world, and they've made it incredibly simple.

  • Airbnb: Barbie's mansion in Malibu is real, and you could spend two nights there with Ken as your host.
  • Collaborations: They have strategically chosen brands to promote and create coveted items, such as the Zara collection. The Spanish brand has also transformed its stores in Paris and New York into Barbie's dream house.
